We are in a time where not only the tools of the filmmaker are ubiquitous, but so are the means of distribution. Every story has an audience, and now it is easier than ever to reach it. I aim not only to use this to my advantage in getting this film seen, but also to address the notion that each work must take only one path to reach those willing to experience it.

In addition to traditional screenings and distribution, I have designed a version of this project to be screened in an interactive space, where the story will unfold over many screens simultaneously, with the sculptural elements from the film physically present in the space, emphasizing the simultaneity of the two worlds. The viewer’s attention will be guided from screen to screen, but they will be welcome to wander their attention to the screens that are momentarily not the focal point of the larger story.

I hope that the experience of watching or experiencing the film inspires the viewer to at least consider undertaking an act of artistic creation, even if that means simply acknowledging that living itself can be a work of art.
